the weekend is here !! and so are the relatives. this morning was um .. interesting. with my little niece-cousin thingo bursting into my room screaming "JIE JIEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!" while i was getting dressed. *sigh* and the house is bustling. nuts. i really want a little kid in the house !! but mum says no more babies.

and while i'm typing this blog, i realize my cousin-in-law (cousin's wife) is lurking around behind me. creepy lady. she's completely weird that woman !! she just makes my aunt look after her kids and do the housework. hell psycho lady..i think i should post this before she gets back. i don't really know if she speaks/reads english. anyhow. i think i will go retreat to my room. i have "egyptian mythology" to keep me company. yes yes..i'm a geek..but it's much better than being asked "after you come here do you speak chinese ??" (answer, yes i did that for TEE) .. seeya

guess what, this is the 2nd adventure i've had in 3 days. well..sortof adventure.

u see, me and cally went to osborne park to look for costumes for the t-square ball. and for those not in the know, osborne park's just this huge industrial area with heaps of car dealerships, huge ikea, huge spotlight, pretty much huge everything. so on the way back, cally said "hey drop me at glendalough station it's right near here" .. and she was navigating right, so i just followed her instructions. so there we were travelling in the right (as in right of left) lane 'coz she said "you have to turn right later". and when we came to the bit where we were supposed to turn, we realized it was a bus-and-taxi only lane. and traffic is so effing heavy i couldn't reverse. so i just went on ahead (yes, into the bus-and-taxi lane) and sat on the verge for awhile.. then (and i think this is a miracle of something), we see this toyota yard (i'm an echo driver) right next to us, and the entrance is just saying "enter !! enter !! you stupid lost girls" so i did. and in the end we got to the park-and-ride in one piece. it was great !!

as for the costume shop..it was scary !! everything was huge and not in our size. and the kiddy costumes were for tiny kids. and the cat woman costume was *hideous* so i guess i have to go find my own. cally said her sister has the boots, i reckon i could get a pair of ears..whip should be no problem..all i need is a lycra suit =P sassy.

hey !! today was an awesome day !! well sortof. awesome in the lives of very reclusive architecture students. today we went to do some site analysis. well .. andy and justin had to do site analysis, me and linda just went to take photos of the site. and kenny tagged along 'coz he's not in our studio. so anyway, we all heard about how this spot in king's park near our site used to be some gathering place for witches covens and they sacrificed small birds n mammals there. being young and curious, we decided to go see for ourselves. the directions were:

- drive to the carpark after the one at the site (check)
- walk down the closed path (check)
- look for plinth used to start yacht races (not check, but assumed)
- look for 3 dead trees and rock that looks like something from certain angle (not quite)
- keep walking (check)
- reach destination (never happened)

u see. somewhere around step 3, we coudln't find the plinth 'coz the flora was too bloody tall. so we just assumed. then, all the trees around us looked dead. but we kept walking. found a new path that wasn't open yet. kept walking. saw some more dead trees that could have been *the* dead trees, but alas .. we'll have to go again.

note: justin and linda didn't go with us because linda was wearing inappropriate bush-whacking shoes and justin was scared of witches. linda did a very good job of protecting him.

heyhey. i do have stuff to tell. oh and it's fathers' day so happy fathers' day to all the fathers out there. tho i don't really know any of my friends who are fathers so maybe i should stop babbling. ANYWAY. today the post is about my mother. and her "inappropriate" behaviour in public. and before u read on, no she does not streak in public.

inappropriate moment #1:

she was at someone's house after a friend's daughter's confirmation and they were eating a dish with buah keluak in it. so mum, by way of conversation asks, "oh how did u bring these in ??" (b'coz customs in australia is so bloody strict right?) and the lady said, "oh. the customs person knew what they were. i just said they were elephant nuts". and the hostess' niece said "OH !! elephant'S nuts ah ??" and mum thought she was joking so burst out laughing like "HAHAHAHAHA" complete with finger pointing. only to realize that no, this woman was not joking at all. and this was followed by a *very* awkward silence.

inappropriate moment #2:

we were at a restaurant and we saw this man there who was wearing a shirt buttoned all the way up to his chin and a sweater over it. with tan pants. so anyway, i said "hey mum look at that guy. he looks like he's got a stick up his ass. gosh. so uptight." and my dad said "what ??" so mum 'whispered' to him: ohh..she said that man looks very uptight. like anal lah. he looks very anal. and then my sister (da) sitting across the table closes to the man said "mum, shh. i can hear u." and she went "oh !! aiyoh" and tried to cover her face with a napkin .. then she kept saying "it wasn't me. it wasn't me"
